Transactions · How they got him

The 76ers drafted Daequan Cook 21st in 2007, and the Heat likely got him in a draft-night swap for Jason Smith.

Jason Smith (20th) was the Heat's pick that year and first shows up with the 76ers. The log doesn't record the trade and first mentions Cook with the Heat signing on Jul 5, 2007.
