Transactions · How they got him
The Cavaliers drafted Jae Crowder 34th in 2012 (second round), and the Mavericks likely got him in a draft-night swap for Tyler Zeller.
Tyler Zeller (17th) was the Mavericks' pick that year and first shows up with the Cavaliers. The log doesn't record the trade and first mentions Crowder with the Mavericks signing on Jul 20, 2012.
